WITH TIME is a hybrid documentary that follows a group of trans individuals over 50 as they participate in a storytelling workshop, which provides a framework for each participant to explore self-inquiry during a time of cultural crisis. The film captures their creative process, culminating in the filming of their stories on staged sets.

Starting with an exercise that involves revisiting an important personal photo, the group engages in an ongoing process of improvisation and discussion to develop an original scripted scene. Guided by an open prompt to explore pivotal moments of discovery in their own lives, participants gradually refine their stories. As their memories take shape on the page and in the staged performances of their scenes following the workshop, the participants navigate the complexities of representing themselves in a group setting while coming to terms with grief, ruptures within their communities, and ever-evolving understanding of themselves.
