The body of an unidentified immigrant is found in the Arizona Desert. In an attempt to retrace his path and discover his story, director Marc Silver and Gael Garcia Bernal embed themselves among migrant travelers on their own mission to cross the border, providing rare insight into the human stories which are so often ignored in the immigration debate.

Director

Marc Silver was born in London and works worldwide as a filmmaker and creative director. He has collaborated with major artists including Nitin Sawhney, Michael Nyman, Ben Okri, Matthew Herbert, Jamie Cullum and Cirque Du Soleil. His art installations and documentaries identify locations of power and potentials for resistance. Silver’s primary interest is exploring the construction of physical and psychological barriers, in a time where the world is seemingly ever more connected and unbordered.
Recently, Marc and Gael Garcia Bernal collaborated with Amnesty International to make four films documenting the horrors of the migrants’ journey through Mexico and creatively directed a campaign to inspire viewers to take action.
