Spurred by the spectacle of a circus tent that goes up outside his Oakland apartment, disabled filmmaker Reid Davenport launches into a meditative journey exploring the history of the Freak Show, how he is seen and how he sees. Shot entirely from his literal perspective, both from a wheelchair and his two feet, Davenport’s gaze and thoughts oscillate between love, his distant family, his film work and whether or not he has fallen into the legacy of the Freak Show. As Davenport contemplates how the world sees him, viewers must confront their own implication and participation.
