As Sixteen-year-old Hattie comes of age, she navigates the London teenage scene with humour and flare. To mark a pivotal operation, she successfully negotiates her first tattoo and dyes her hair a bright shade of blue. Hattie was born with spina bifida, meaning ongoing health complications.

In this intimate portrait, Hattie bravely shares her experiences of growing up, asking questions about how the world views her and how she sees herself. She celebrates and confronts the challenges of her condition, experimenting and taking bold risks like other girls her age. An honest account of girlhood and disability.
