For nearly two decades, Yes Men Mike and Andy have pulled off notorious media hoaxes that expose corporate crimes. Now middle-aged, they're taking on the biggest threat they've ever faced - climate change. Can they overcome insurmountable political forces before it’s too late to save the planet?

Long Synopsis

For nearly two decades, the notorious activist duo the Yes Men (Mike and Andy) have staged outrageous hoaxes, armed with nothing but thrift-store suits, at business events, on the internet, television, and in the streets, to show the danger of letting greed run our world. Now they’re trying to tackle the world’s biggest problem: climate change. In a perfect storm, they find themselves confronting the greatest problem to face humanity while they're in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Disillusioned, they’re not sure they can make a difference anymore. Can they get their hope back in time to pull off major climate actions before the ice caps melt? In this character-driven documentary, we go behind the scenes with these activist legends. Following their lives for over four years, the film reveals their creative process, outrageous strategies, and personal conflicts while they juggle the demands of getting older, holding down jobs, and maintaining some shred of personal lives. From villages in Uganda’s Karamoja region to the toxic oil fields in Canada’s tar sands, from the canals of Amsterdam to the steps of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, the Yes Men deliver hilarious actions of global significance. THE YES MEN ARE REVOLTING is more than an entertaining depiction of their latest interventions – its heart lies in what it means to fight for change.
