Back To The Eucharist - Back To Mary

Let us gather around the Eucharist. Let the priestly fraternity love the Living God and show the face of Christ. Let the faithful laymen worship God, receive the sacraments, and build a brotherhood of love in work and civic life.

Let us cherish the truly feminine and swear to Our Lady that we shall purify the brotherhood her Son instituted to act as His temple on earth. Let us glorify and safeguard the name of Jesus and be jealous of the honor of His mother. If this seems a pietistic formula, learn from our discovery in
carefully penetrating the history of one diocese that drunken vulgarity among a bishop and his priests, flippancy with the name of Christ and God and disdaining the true femininity of Mary all preceded the unnatural crimes we lament today.

In each diocese, we hope that Catholic laymen will help purify the priesthood by repentance and fraternal correction. We pray that priests and bishops adopt St Benedict’s strategy to lead our Church from this Long Lent into the New Pentecost.
